DFI Session 5

Focussing on Google Sites this week for the DFI course was very timely. This week we enter our first week of online teaching. Teaching from our google sites!

Here is my classes learning site:

Each day we are holding 4 Google Hangouts to meet with our students and check off their work for each day. So far we have had an awesome uptake and most of the children are really enjoying their learning!

Today during the DFI course we looked at creating a site from scratch and had a try at this. Here is the page I created to share with our learners for their literacy task next week.
I was happy to include a google form and look forward to the children's interactions with the form!

  1. Kia ora Alisha,
I really like the way you have included links to the content you have shared. The layout of your site is easy to navigate. It's pretty great to be able to put what you have done on the day into action straight away. I like the way you have added a clear screencastify onto your site for the students too. Do you think you will continue to post your content to the site once we are back to 'normal'?

  2. HI Alisha, thanks for sharing the links to your site and the class blog. Your teaching and learning is made visible on your site and having access to it just extends our professional learning network. It is so helpful for teachers in other schools to see how other teachers are making learning visible!

Have you had any feedback from parents - or is this something you have been doing for awhile?
